What to Bring

Items to Bring With You

  • Any court orders or legal papers of relevance
  • Two forms of ID
  • Income Verification, paycheck stub or letter verifying no income. This letter can be written by a friend or family member.
  • Current Medical Card or Insurance Information
  • Clothing with the exception of shorts, tank, halter, or string tops. (Shorts or sweats may be brought for YMCA use only)
  • Toothpaste/Toothbrush, Shampoo and or other hair care products that you may need, Razors, Bath Soap, and Deodorant
  • Feminine Hygiene Products as needed
  • Money – please bring a small amount only
  • Pre-paid phone card
  • Towels and wash clothes (GRRR will supply you with one set only)
  • Paper, pen, pencil, stamps, and envelopes, if you intend to send out mail.

(All Products Must be Alcohol Free)

If you will be prescribed medication or are currently taking medication, you will need to bring a 30 day supply. we can have a prescription filled, but you will need to bring the money with to pay for it. also, if you may need an over the counter medicine, you will need to bring the money for that as well.

Optional Items

  • Alarm Clock electric or wind up, no clock radios
  • Patches to relieve smoking urges
  • Blanket and or pillow, bath towels, shower mat, wash cloths (one set each will be provided)
  • Preferred laundry soap and fabric softener

Items NOT to Bring - No Exceptions

  • Television
  • VCR'S, Video Tapes,or Personal Music
  • Radios, CD players, walkmans or headsets
  • No Food, Candy, Drinks, or Mugs of any kind
  • Explicit Advertisements/Logos
  • Smokeless Tobacco (Chew)
  • Sleeveless shirts or blouses
  • Shorts (other than for YMCA) Tube Tops Mini-Skirts
  • Weapons or Pocket Knives
  • Pornography
  • Alcohol/Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia
  • No Pagers, Beepers, or Cell Phones
  • No gang-related items, or items referring to the streets and using
