About Recovery Resources
Our History
On March 15, 1965, Articles of Incorporation were approved by the Illinois Secretary of State for a nonprofit corporation entitled “Western Illinois Council on Alcoholism.” The primary purpose of the agency was to provide outpatient services to Adams County alcohol abusers.
Today we are known as Recovery Resources and we operate inpatient services in Quincy and outpatient services in Quincy and Hannibal, Missouri. Formerly known only for substance abuse services, we have expanded our offerings to include general behavioral health. Now, we serve adolescents and adults who suffer from a variety of problems that are substance abuse, anger, violence, emotional and family based.
Families face increasing problems in today’s society. We will continue to expand our service offerings in order to help tri-state residents with their problems. We pledge to provide the highest quality services in a confidential manner.

Recovery Resources is governed by a 15 member volunteer Board of Directors. It is a policy setting body that determines the services that will be provided and it establishes the Annual Budget. The Executive Director is responsible for seeing that the Board’s directives are carried out.
